An important tool to assist a team in determining what projects/initiatives to work on:
- Aligns focus on the right things
- At the right time
- With the right people
The Prioritization Matrix takes into consideration the effort to implement (resources & duration) as well as the benefit it will provide.
Two main sources of inputs for prioritization are as follows:
- Response to issues from performance metrics
- Proactive ideas from employees – general Continuous Improvement
